The transcripts from MHMK (Macromedia University of Applied Sciences for Media and Communication) follow the typical format of German universities of applied sciences, usually recording a student’s academic performance by module. buy MHMK Zeugnis online, The transcript generally includes the student’s name, student ID, program of study, semester, course or module name, assessment method, credits earned, and individual course grades. Because the university uses the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), each course typically indicates ECTS credits, reflecting the workload required for that course.
Regarding grading, MHMK follows the common grading logic of German higher education: lower scores represent better results. German universities typically use a grading scale of 1.0 to 5.0, where 1.0 to 1.5 is „very good,“ 1.6 to 2.5 is „good,“ 2.6 to 3.5 is „average,“ 3.6 to 4.0 is „pass,“ and 5.0 indicates failure or not meeting requirements. Some German universities also use ECTS grades as supplementary information. For example, A represents the top 10% of excellent performance, B, C, D, and E in descending order, while FX or F represents failure. The specific grade system used for each major at MHMK depends on the official transcript and examination regulations of the university.
Module grades on the transcript typically come from multiple assessment methods. Common assessment methods at applied universities specializing in media studies include written exams, oral presentations, course papers, project work, group projects, internships, and graduation projects. Because MHMK emphasizes practical application, grades for some courses may depend not only on final exams but also on a comprehensive evaluation of project outcomes, creative expression, teamwork, and industry application skills. The graduation thesis or project is usually listed separately on the transcript and counted towards the final degree grade.
For students applying for transfer, exchange, or further studies, MHMK transcripts can usually be used together with ECTS credits for credit recognition. Transcripts show completed modules, corresponding credits, and grades, allowing receiving institutions to assess course content and academic level. If the transcript is for use outside Germany, the university typically provides a German or English version; in some cases, the receiving institution may require grade level descriptions, course syllabi, or officially certified translations.
It’s important to note that transcript formats may differ between campuses, programs, and enrollment years. For formal applications, it’s recommended to obtain the latest official version directly from the university’s academic affairs or examinations office and confirm that the transcript includes grade level descriptions, ECTS credits, degree status, and an official seal or signature.
